What is the difference between "pre-approved" and "accredited"?

These are two distinct stages in the UAE Ministry of Finance accreditation pathway. Pre-approval (Article 15) is the first formal stage — it confirms that a Service Provider has met the Ministry's eligibility criteria including technical, operational, security, and insurance requirements. Final Accreditation (Article 16) is the next stage and requires completing the full technical certification programme. InvoiceNow Biz F.Z.C. is currently pre-approved (cleared on 4 May 2026) and is actively progressing through the certification required for final accreditation. Pre-approval allows us to engage with clients as a Ministry-recognised Service Provider while we complete the remaining certification.

What insurance does InvoiceNow Biz carry?

What is UAE e-invoicing and when does it start?

UAE e-invoicing is a government mandate requiring businesses to exchange invoices electronically in a structured digital format through the Peppol network. The pilot programme begins July 1, 2026. Phase 1 (large enterprises with AED 50M+ revenue) becomes mandatory January 1, 2027. Phase 2 (SMEs) follows July 1, 2027, and Phase 3 (government entities) starts October 1, 2027.

What is an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) and why do I need one?

An ASP is a company accredited by the UAE Ministry of Finance (MoF) to facilitate e-invoicing on behalf of businesses. Under the UAE DCTCE 5-corner model, all businesses must appoint an ASP to send and receive e-invoices through the Peppol network and report Tax Data Documents (TDD) to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA). You cannot directly connect to the Peppol network without an ASP.
