Choosing an IMDA-Accredited InvoiceNow Solution: What to Look For

Only IMDA-accredited solutions satisfy the mandate. Here's the difference between an InvoiceNow-Ready Solution Provider (IRSP) and an Access Point, and how to choose the right fit.

Not every e-invoicing tool meets Singapore's GST InvoiceNow Requirement. The mandate can only be satisfied using IMDA-accredited solutions - so choosing the right provider is one of the most important compliance decisions you will make.

Why accreditation matters

IMDA accredits the solutions and providers connected to InvoiceNow, and publishes official lists of accredited InvoiceNow-Ready Solution Providers and Access Point providers. A non-accredited platform - however capable - cannot fulfil the requirement. Always confirm a provider is accredited before committing.

IRSP vs Access Point: what's the difference?

Two accreditation types matter to businesses:

  • InvoiceNow-Ready Solution Provider (IRSP) - software that lets you create, send, receive and report InvoiceNow e-invoices, typically integrated with your accounting or ERP system
  • Access Point (AP) - the certified gateway that transmits your invoices across the Peppol network and registers your Peppol ID on the SMP

How they fit together

An IRSP delivers the solution you use day to day; connectivity to the network is provided by an accredited Access Point. Many businesses get both through a single provider, so onboarding, support and compliance sit in one place. InvoiceNow Biz delivers its eInvoiceXchange solution as an IRSP, with Access Point connectivity through Suma Technology Services' IMDA-accredited Access Point.

What to evaluate

When comparing providers, weigh:

  • Integration with your existing ERP or accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, QuickBooks and others)
  • Support for the PINT-SG format and IRAS GST reporting
  • Registration handling on the SG Peppol Directory
  • Cross-border Peppol capability if you trade internationally
  • Pricing aligned to your transaction volume
  • Ongoing compliance monitoring and updates as rules evolve

A quick due-diligence checklist

Confirm the provider is on IMDA's accredited list, ask how they handle PINT-SG and IRAS transmission, check that they manage your Peppol ID registration, and clarify the support model - especially around your go-live date and deadline compliance.
