How to Get Your Singapore Peppol ID and Join the InvoiceNow Network

Your Peppol ID is your digital address on InvoiceNow. Here's how it's derived from your UEN, how registration works through an accredited Access Point, and the role of Corppass and the SG Peppol Directory.

Before you can send or receive InvoiceNow e-invoices, your business needs a Peppol ID - a unique digital address on the network. The good news for Singapore businesses: it is based on identifiers you already have.

Your Peppol ID is built from your UEN

In Singapore, a business's Peppol ID is derived from its Unique Entity Number (UEN), the identifier issued by ACRA. On the network it is expressed with the scheme prefix 0195:SGUEN followed by your UEN. This ID stays with your business as its permanent address, and every InvoiceNow invoice carries the sender's and recipient's Peppol IDs so the network can route it correctly.

IMDA is Singapore's Peppol Authority

IMDA has been the Peppol Authority for Singapore since 2018. It governs the registration of Peppol IDs and owns the centralised Service Metadata Publisher (SMP) where they are published. You do not register directly with IMDA - you register through an accredited Access Point, which lists your ID on the Singapore SMP.

How registration works

Registration happens through your IMDA-accredited solution or Access Point provider. The steps are straightforward:

  • Choose an IMDA-accredited InvoiceNow solution or Access Point
  • Authorise the registration using your company's Corppass
  • Your provider registers your UEN-based Peppol ID on the Singapore SMP
  • Once live, your ID appears in the Singapore Peppol Directory

Corppass and timelines

For Singapore companies, Corppass is required to authorise registration. Under IMDA's service requirements, an accredited provider must complete a business user's registration within three working days of the request - so onboarding to the network is quick once your details are in order.

The Singapore Peppol Directory

The Singapore Peppol Directory is the public registry of businesses reachable on InvoiceNow. You can confirm your own registration there and look up trading partners - searching by name or by UEN using the 0195:SGUEN format. If a partner appears in the directory, you can exchange InvoiceNow invoices with them.

What to prepare

Have your UEN, Corppass access, and the company details that will appear on your invoices ready before you start. Your accredited provider handles the technical registration on the SMP - your job is to authorise it and confirm your details are correct.
